Heat washes over him. Heat he remembers. There was always heat where he worked, and lived, and…well…that’s all he did. worked and lived. What was he doing now? Another heat wave washes over him.

“Get down you stupid bastard!” buzzing in his ear. “Come on. Get up.” He is dragged to his feet. “Now run, soldier!” He ran. Pushed and dragged along. He ran for his life.
