New Scheme

So this past two weeks has been good for scheme creation brain storming and I’ve gotten up to three good ones so far. Part of me blames DragonCon, which was a lot of fun this year, and part of me blames hanging out with people. Either way, in the past couple of weeks I’ve come across some potential schemes and I’d like to hear what anyone who reads this might think about them. Ostensibly I’d like to choose one of these and go from there since I have enough schemes that I’m not keeping up with already. So without further ado, here are the ideas.

1. Life Achievement – The idea is that life needs an achievement board. Much like XBox Live and the Playstation 3 and World of War Craft life needs an achievement list that we can all strive for in order to feel accomplished. The idea behind the scheme would be to create a facebook like website that allows people to track their life achievements. At first it would be very subjective whereby a lot of life achievements wouldn’t be well defined, since it’s difficult even with a group, to come up with all the possible achievements that are achievable in life. Users would be given the option of inputting their own variants of life achievements as well as selecting the ones provided by the website. And of course the website would link back to facebook, twitter, etc at the user’s discretion. This scheme would require me to learn a little more about making websites and such, which is notably something I need to do anyways.

2. Con Cockblocker – The idea is pretty basic. At conventions, girls get hit on by guys that they have no real want to talk to, or do anything else with. However, often enough, a girl will find herself trapped by unwanted guys in never-ending boring conversations that sometimes escalate into physically threatening stalking experiences. That’s where we come in. Around the con we station people in blue shirts with the word Designated Cockblocker on it. At any time a girl in trouble can signal the Designated Cockblocker over to her and the Cockblocker will remove the offending guy/give the girl an easy out. This scheme would require t-shirts, a training program for our blockers, and an education campaign directed at female con-goers.

3. Top Gear…Used! – If you’ve never seen the hit BBC show Top Gear then I suggest you do. It’s a car show that is so much more than a car show and the level of randomnessocity that occurs on the show is right up crazyuncleivans ally. The idea for this scheme is that we mimic the show as best we can, except we do it all with used cars in our price range. This is by far the most difficult of the schemes as it would require a number of things such as a film crew, an editing team, cars, and a whole lot of free time. But this is potentially the coolest with the best payoff.

So please take a look at them and let me know which ones you think it would be cool for me to do.
