As you may, or may not have noticed, the poetry I tend to do on here is usually freeform, fairly light, and uses a lot of alliteration. That is chiefly because that kind of poetry comes easy to me. It doesn’t take much more than a few solid moments of contemplation before I’m on my way to starting a poem. However, having written about a half dozen so far on the site I have come to feel that I should be doing something a little more meaningful, or baring that, something with a little more depth. So I’m asking you guys, what kind of poetry do you think I should work with next. I’d be up for most types but I’d like to do something that isn’t freeform and isn’t a traditionally heavily used poetic style, like the sonnet or lymric. Any ideas. I’m gonna try and start tomorrow and any help with deciding what I should do next is greatly appreciated.
