So, Blog-in-Blog had to go. It was unfortunately just not working for us and the creator was unable to figure out why. I have moved on to a new plugin: Category Page and Category Page Extender. Category Page is a plugin for the management of Archive pages. Basically it lets you create a page to use as an archive for specific categories, which would be nice but I have no clue how to implement it on the Theme I have, which is very convuluted on the back-end and Category Page requires a few changes on the backend to operate correctly.
However, the Creator of Blog in Blog also made an extension plugin for Category Page called Category Page Extension, awesome name huh? Anyways, this plugin basically does what Blog-in-Blog did except the interface to set up the connections between Pages and Categories is the interface from Category Page. This actually makes things a lot easier since you can use a single interface to change Page-Category connections, instead of having to open every single page and putting a line of text into it.
The only thing you really lose is the ability to customize how your posts are shown page by page. You basically have to set the settings at the top and it works the same on every page.
So anyways, I am very happy now that my site is working again, and now I get to prod Uncle Pat into drawing more Webcomics! 😀
